Sports in Merano/Meran and Scena/Schenna

Cycling

The area around Merano/Meran boasts a rich network of cycling trails in the valley, such as the cycling trail into Val Venosta/Vinschgau (to Malles/Mals, can be combined with a train ride), the cycling trail into Val Passiria/Passeiertal (to San Leonardo/St. Leonhard), or the cycling trail to Val d'Adige/Etschtal (past Bolzano/Bozen).

Mountain biking

The mountains, alps and forests around Scena/Schenna and Merano/Meran are hugely popular with mountain bike aficionados. Choose from a number of beautiful mountain bike tours of varying degrees of difficulty.

Paragliding

Go on exciting flight in excellent conditions. Try a tandem flight or fight the fear on your own - paragliding is an unforgettable experience!

Departure points:

Cervina-Saltusio/Hirzer-Saltaus middle station: Start on 1,400 m above sea level next to the middle station of the cable car.
Cervina-Saltusio/Hirzer-Saltaus mountain station: Start on 2,100 m above sea level, a 20 min walk from the mountain station.
Taser-Saltusio/Saltaus: Start on 1,450 m above sea level, just above the family-run Taser Alpine hut.
Hochmut-Tirolo/Dorf Tirol: Start on 1,400 m above sea level, just below the family-run Hochmut inn.
Hang gliding flight: Start on 2,100 m above sea level, a 20 min walk from the Cervina/Hirzer mountain station.
