Did you know that the cycling season starts earlier in Meran & Environs than anywhere else? From the end of February, mild weather and warm sunshine invite you to have fun on two wheels. Choose one of the countless breath-taking routes with spectacular 360° panoramic views, follow the forest and Alpine paths across picturesque meadows and through dense forests, and experience the impressive South Tyrolean nature with particular intensity. From leisurely family outings through vineyards and orchards to challenging MTB tours in the Texel Group Nature Park – there is something for every bike fan on a sports holiday in South Tyrol.
Our tip: With the Vinschgerbahn, cyclists can transport their bike by train from Meran to Mals in Vinschgau. If you don’t have your own bike, you can rent one at the station. On your way back to Meran, cyclists can take the Adige Valley Cycle Path along Via Claudia Augusta, the old Roman road.
