Summer internship at Schenna Resort

Summer at Schenna Resort is always a special time of year. The days are long, the terraces are full, and behind the scenes there is always plenty to do. That is why we are especially grateful for the support of our summer interns, who become part of our team with motivation, curiosity and plenty of good energy. They come from different schools, from South Tyrol and also from abroad, usually stay for six to eight weeks, sometimes even for several months, and bring a breath of fresh air into our daily hotel life.

For many of them, the decision to do an internship at Schenna Resort was a very conscious one: to get to know a large hotel, to immerse themselves in a new environment and perhaps also to spend some time away from home. What they particularly appreciate is the atmosphere, the team spirit and the warm, welcoming feeling throughout the house.

“What we like most is the young team, the positive energy and the fact that everyone supports one another,” our interns say. And that is exactly what an internship with us is all about: learning, working together, asking questions, taking on responsibility and becoming more confident step by step.

In everyday hotel life, our young talents learn many things that go far beyond individual tasks. They improve their language skills, come into contact with different guests and learn how to handle a wide variety of situations. Even if some routines may seem similar at first glance, no two days are ever the same. Every guest, every encounter and every situation brings something new.

One special moment that many of them remember is a sincere compliment from a guest. It is precisely these small gestures that show how valuable attention, kindness and commitment are in everyday hotel life.

Our team members also greatly appreciate the support of the interns. They are not only a great help in daily operations, but already take on many tasks independently and show how quickly young people can grow when they are given trust, good guidance and motivation.

They themselves describe their internship with words such as “fun”, “cool”, “varied” and sometimes, very honestly: “hot”. After all, summer in Merano brings not only beautiful moments, but also warm temperatures. Their personal summer must-have? Definitely a bikini or swimsuit, because sometimes that is the best way to enjoy the hot summer days. And at Schenna Resort, it is not only about working and learning, but also about sharing experiences together. On their days off, our interns enjoy using the Crew Card, for example for free entry to the Lido Schenna or for breakfast including a free hot drink. They also take the opportunity to discover the beautiful surroundings of Schenna and Merano with all their possibilities.

For some, their time with us is even a first step towards the future. Many can imagine working in gastronomy or hospitality later on, especially because they enjoy contact with guests and like being part of a lively, varied and dynamic working environment.

We are proud to be able to offer young people these valuable insights. For us, a summer internship at Schenna Resort means not only support in everyday hotel life, but also mutual learning, appreciation and growing together.
