Hiking is fun, healthy and makes you happy

Schenna is situated in the middle of an extensive hiking area for experienced mountain hikers, but also for pleasure hikers and families. Around the Schenna Resort there are about 500 km of registered hiking trails which can be started directly from the hotel. On a leisurely hike, for example, you can walk along the Schenna Waalweg (path along the ancient water channels), which leads past vineyards, apple- and chestnut orchards. The Mitterplattweg is also a popular hiking trail for our guests. The sunny promenade with a fantastic view leads through apple- and wine estates directly into the centre of Schenna. At higher altitudes, well-marked hiking trails run from alpine hut to hut and up into the high mountains. Hiking also includes a hearty meal in one of the many huts and alpine pastures, which are managed so lovingly and with great passion by the host families. Together with the wonderful view over the valley and the healthy mountain air, the delicious, traditional South Tyrolean cuisine is waiting for you. There, enjoyment knows no difference in altitude! Host and hiking guide Heidi Pföstl-Wörndle shares her favourite hobby with our guests and once a week, on a guided hike, she shows you the stunning South Tyrolean mountain world.

In addition, every Monday there is a guided mountain or climbing tour with mountain guide Michl Tscholl for all adventurers.
