Meran 2000

Known for its sunny location on the Meran plateau, this ski area with 40 kilometres of varied slopes is a true winter paradise for everyone – from families to pleasure skiers and adrenalin fans. Skiers, snowboarders, and free riders can put their skills to the test on wide slopes and more demanding routes, beginners and children can practise their technique in the Outdoor Kid’s Camp, and winter sports enthusiasts can set out on touring, snowshoe hikes, and cross-country skiing. Those who prefer a more leisurely pace can stop off in one of the rustic huts and fortify themselves with the best delicacies from the region or embark on an adventure on the 3km-long natural toboggan run.

Schnals Valley glacier

Adventurous, first-class, and absolutely unique – winter sports fans get their money’s worth on the Schnals Valley glacier. A cable car takes you to the highest mountain station in South Tyrol at 3,200m in less than ten minutes, where the unique elevation guarantees favourable snow conditions from October to May on well-prepared slopes for all ages, fitness levels, and preferences. Visit the practice slopes at the Glockenlift to perform your first turns in the snow or take part in the Ötzi Glacier Tour from the top station of the Schnals Valley glacier cable car to the discovery site of the glacier mummy, Ötzi. But that’s not all: adventurous winter hikes in the fascinating world of glaciers, scenic high-altitude cross-country ski runs with up to 10km in length, a 3.3km natural toboggan run, and great places to stop for refreshments truly leave nothing to be desired.

Schwemmalm

This family ski area in the Ulten Valley offers 25km of exciting and snow-guaranteed slopes that will certainly put a smile on your children’s faces. Your children can make their first attempts on skis at the ski and snowboard school and in the all-day ski kindergarten, “Bärenhöhle” (bear’s den), before they tackle the longest run of the ski area at a considerable 5km and a 1,100m elevation difference. Amidst the snow-covered landscape of the Schwemmalm, the Schwemmy Snow World with tunnels, slides, a snow castle, and many other highlights await your kids.

Pfelders

At this small but beautiful family ski area in upper Passeir Valley, beginners, as well as professionals, can look forward to guaranteed snow, varied slopes, and fantastic panoramas. Italy’s first combined lift, equipped with a weather protection hood and heated seating also await you here – a real luxury when skiing! When you’ve had enough of skiing, there are plenty of other sports to choose from in Pfelders: skating, tobogganing, cross-country skiing, and even horseback riding through the snow-covered landscape are on the programme here.

Exclusively for guests of our hotel: children up to 8 years receive the ski pass for Pfelders free of charge!

Vigiljoch

Vigiljoch above Lana can be reached by the second oldest cable car in Europe. Far away from the hustle and bustle of the après-ski world, the focus here is on natural and relaxed skiing. Four lifts provide access to five kilometres of slopes in the ski area – ideal for pleasure skiers, beginners, and little guests. Plus, because safety is the name of the game when skiing, exciting skiing courses for groups are always organised on the Vigiljoch. Set off for an authentic experience of nature.
